Bites and how All American Dogs handles them.

When it comes to animal bites, of any kind, All American Dogs steps in with caution while remaining mindful that every situation is different. Our protocols are our own and we follow them each and every time a bite is called in.

• Secure the animal

• Get information on the bite victim and dog owner

• Check status of the pet’s rabies vaccine

• If their shots are current and the owner has the ability to secure the

animal for 10 days, a home quarantine may be granted

• If the records are not current, the owner must quarantine the animal

within 24 hours at a certified facility, this can be a local vet or at

AAD.

• We will complete the bite report once the quarantine is complete.
