What happens when an animal is picked up with All American Dogs?

There are alot of questions when you work in Animal Control, to help save time we are going to share what All American Dogs shelter protocol is when an animal is picked up by our team. It is important to note not all organizations are the same, we can only speak on what our organization does.

• Once the animal is safe and contained, we scan it for a microchip. If chipped (or wearing ID tag) we contact the owner.

• If the animal is not chipped or tagged, we post the animal on our Facebook page.

• All animals are vaccinated upon entry to the facility. This increases healthy outcomes for the animals under our care.

• Animals are held for a minimum of 5 days before being placed up for adoption. We are currently placing 90% of the animals in our care into new forever homes.
